Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Merrington Grange is a residential home supporting adults with autism spectrum conditions, moderate to severe learning disabilities, mental health needs, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge, hearing impairments, epilepsy and dementia. Merrington Grange aims to support and educate people by enabling and empowering them to take greater control over their lives and to make their own decisions and choices.
Merrington supports each person to take advantage of opportunities available both at home and in the wider community, to maximise independence, to learn new or improve on existing skills, to achieve their goals and lead a life that is full and enjoyable in the way most meaningful to them.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Merrington Grange is made up of three houses with en-suite rooms. Residential provision is provided on ground level for up to three people, with a further six bedrooms on the first floor. There is also an additional studio flat, sizeable gardens and extensive views over the Shropshire countryside.
Situated in a rural setting close to the village of Bomere Heath, Merrington Grange is ten minutes from Shrewsbury by road, where multiple community amenities can be enjoyed, including shops, restaurants and parks.

Lifestyle
People at Merrington Grange are supported to participate in activities that promote independence and increase social skills.
They are also supported to build on life skills such as meal preparation, budgeting, self-care and grocery shopping with a view to moving on to independent living.
Merrington Grange is a loud, lively and busy home where people like to stay active and explore their hobbies and passions. People living here enjoy visiting zoos, safari parks, National Trust sites, the local swimming pool, and the ‘BeWildered’ country park. When people are looking for some quiet time at home there are puzzles and arts & crafts to enjoy.
People can also enjoy the town’s local amenities, such as trips to charity shops, national trust properties, day trips, cinema, horse riding and trampolining in the local community.
