Thoughtfully designed for independent living
This home is best described as homely with a wonderful buzz of activity.
The team here will stop at nothing to help the people we support to achieve their dreams. They’ve helped people to become wrestlers, administer their own medication, perform in drama shows and complete their weekly shop independently. Although they support individuals, the team also encourage group activities, and love nothing more than day trips to Western, Barry and Porthcawl.
BBQ’s and annual sports day events are also a favourite here. There is a dedicated Activities Co-ordinator who is responsible for making the ideas in our monthly home meeting happen.
Co-production is key – a recent redecoration of the lounge included the people supported choosing the new furniture and a selection of activities to start us off. Movie nights, cards, kebabs and a facemask and film night are all on the calendar!

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
This is a spacious property for up to eleven adults. It comprises a range of self-contained accommodation over two floors, including individually accessed en-suite flats, designed to enable people to become more independent. There is also communal space, including a large lounge, kitchen facility and laundry room.
24-hour support is provided here.

The home is located in Newport and has excellent transport links, including the nearby bus and train stations that are regularly used for popping to town or for day trips to Barry and Porthcawl. There are many local attractions including Belle Vue Park, a beautiful park with walking routes and a small café.
There are museums that are regularly visited by the people we support and Newport has everything you need in terms of shops and entertainment.
