About this support setting

Thoughtfully designed for independent living

We to try to make everything as personalised and homely as possible, helping individuals to live their lives to the fullest and do things that are meaningful to them. We have yearly holidays, mainly to Disneyland Paris, that everyone loves but we have also been on cruises, to Florida and staycations in the UK.

We have hot tub parties, outdoor cinema nights, days out to theme parks, zoo’s, theatre trips, beach trips – that is just to name a few things as we do so much all year round. We hold a big Christmas party at the local pub for all the people we support and their family/friends which is always a huge hit.

We are linked to another Achieve together home, next door, and people living in both homes get together for group activities.

This home’s profile number is 526.

Lifestyle

This home is located in Sapley, near Huntingdon. Locally there is good access to supermarkets, retail parks and gyms. The cinema, coffee shops and restaurants are all within walking distance and there are nearby fields, parks and riverside for outdoor activities. There are good transport links with both bus and train stations nearby.

People living here enjoy active lives and are supported to take part in a range of activities both within their home and the wider community.  Leisure activities include day centre activities, walks in the surrounding areas, gardening, spa days, bowling, sailing, swimming, gym sessions, and trips to the cinema. People are also supported to participate in many educational, voluntary and work placements of their choosing, and many people are currently building confidence by volunteering, which greatly increases independence.

“The people we support are at the heart of everything we do here. Getting to know each person and working alongside my team to support them to live their lives doing things they love is what’s important to me”. – Home Manager

“I have lived here for a year and I love it. I get to go to different places and do different things that I want to do. I got to go to Disneyland Paris for the first time last year, I am so excited to go to Disney again this year. The support workers here make things happen”.- Person supported
