Thoughtfully designed for independent living
At this specialist home that supports people with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) there is a firm focus on building relationships with families and friends who are always welcomed for regular visits.
The people supported here are encouraged to be active locally and further afield, being supported to take part in regular shopping trips, attend local events and facilities and visit local nature attractions.
At home, there is a close relationship with the sister property, The Marshes, where people join together to maintain the gardens, bake cakes and cook food, watch movies, enjoy weekly music sessions, go on holidays and much more.
This home regularly links up with others in the local area, encouraging co-production and planning for events to include everyone. The annual Summer and Halloween parties are a real hit!
In August 2025 this home was independently audited by Fulcrum and achieved and overall score of good.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
This home is a bungalow, with wheelchair accessibility throughout providing ground-floor accommodation for six people. The home is purpose-built and can accommodate people who use wheelchairs and those who require other aids for mobility.
Lynfords has its own garden area to the rear of the property and a shared communal patio area to the front of the bungalow, which is regularly used for social activities. There is also a sensory garden, which is shared with a neighbouring home, The Marshes, that people can enjoy.

Located in Hailsham, a historic market town in East Sussex, close to Eastbourne and Brighton and with good transport links to London. Lynfords is less than a 10-minute walk to the town centre which features a high street with local shops, cafes and restaurants.
People here are supported to visit local attractions such as Knockhatch Adventure Park, Drusillas Park, Sea Life Centre, Abbots Woods and National Trust Venues. They also attend local sessions with Wheels for all and inclusive groups and visit the cinema and go bowling.
Lynfords tailors care and support to ensure every person has access to the things they love and enjoy, always looking to create new opportunities for people to expand and grow.
