Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Offering a taste of the ‘Good Life’ Ivers House is a great choice for people who enjoy spending time with nature and being part of an inclusive community. Our team assist everyone to make good use of the facilities through a range of activities and events, including gardening, looking after the animals, cooking in the outdoor kitchen, art, drama and music therapy, as well as social events like the Summer Party, Bonfire Night and Christmas Concert.
The support team work closely with families, external health and social care professionals, and our internal health & wellbeing team to provide excellent coproduced support.
Ivers House provides a residential home to adults with learning disabilities and/or autistic people in the village of Marnhull, near Sturminster Newton in Dorset. A beautiful rural setting, people can live in the main house or four-bedded bungalows on the same grounds. 24-hour specialist support is provided to people who prefer a rural lifestyle, with a focus on skill development, supporting people to achieve their aspirations and maintain control over their own lives.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Ivers House is comprised of a main house with four rooms, which are much larger than average and communal areas including a lounge, dining room and activity/games room. Plus there are 4 Bungalows each divided into ensuite bedsits.
Located in rural Marnhull, Dorset. Local facilities include a shop, Post Office, GP surgery, pubs with restaurants, hairdressers, Village Hall and recreation ground with play areas, tennis courts, and sports clubs. Community events and festivals are held throughout the year, including the Marnhull Festival. Sturminster Newton and Shaftesbury
are just 15 minutes drive away, and the beach at Bournemouth is an hour away.

Ivers supports people to take part in a variety of community groups and clubs that include swimming and gym sessions, a sports afternoon with both indoor and outdoor games, horse riding, cinema visits, pub and access to a community sensory suite.
On-site activities include a computer club, a working kitchen to facilitate cookery lessons and healthy living groups, arts and crafts sessions, a Drama room, an on-site sensory room and gardening sessions facilitated within the services’ beautiful 3-acre grounds.
