What we offer
A safe and supportive place
The support team accesses internal specialist training to ensure they are knowledgeable, confident and competent in supporting people with multiple needs, including social and sensory processing differences, epilepsy and a range of health conditions. Person-centred support and health plans are developed with the person and their family to ensure we are focused on all the person’s needs and aspirations. We have the benefit of an activities coordinator to ensure people are meaningfully occupied and able to fully enjoy and participate in the countryside, local villages and towns.
Ivers House is comprised of a main house and bungalows. It has four rooms, which are much larger than average. Communal rooms in the main house include a lounge, dining room and activity/games room. Two of the rooms can be combined as one for larger functions.
Individuals regularly visit the village of Marnhull, which is within walking distance of the home, to use shops and pubs. They also travel to the larger towns of Shaftesbury, which is around six miles away, and Yeovil, which is 16 miles away. The nearest train stations are at Templecombe and Gillingham, Dorset.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.
