More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this support setting
Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Ashley Phoenix is a specialist registered residential home, without nursing, in Bath that provides 24-hour support to eight adults. The home supports people who are deafblind, with additional complex needs, including physical and learning disabilities. The team at the home often support people who have experienced placement breakdowns due to their complex needs.
The Ashley Phoenix team uses a person-centred approach, involving people we support, their families and support networks in care planning and decision-making. Positive risk-taking enables people we support to live as independently as possible. Our team empowers people to make the most of their skills and develop new ones so they can live life to the full.

The home has two kitchens, lounges, and even an art room. The home is on the first floor of the main building at Poolemead House (a complex that offers a variety of housing and support services), and people living here are welcome to use the Poolemead facilities, including a jacuzzi, coffee lounge and lovely gardens.

The city centre is accessible by an excellent bus service and has a large shopping centre, many restaurants, pubs and cafés, unique historical sites plus great transport links around the UK.

Lifestyle
The Ashley Phoenix team provides structured, one-to-one support that is tailored to each person’s aims, abilities and wishes. There’s an open, honest, kind and considerate ethos in the home that focuses on encouraging people we support to learn new skills and achieve things for themselves.
The team is fully trained to meet each person’s support needs and develops a personalised strategy for communicating with each person we support, including British Sign Language or pictures.
We empower people with all aspects of daily life – from making healthy lifestyle choices to managing medicines, cooking, budgeting, learning new skills and getting involved in the local community. People we support are also fully involved in the running of Ashley Phoenix, helping the home to continuously improve, so we’re providing the best possible support.
