Kevin’s massive mileage to raise profile of Achieve together

A huge well done to team member Kevin for running 44 miles to raise money for Epilepsy UK!

Support worker, Kevin Waite, from Acorn Park Lodge in Cornwall ran a staggering 44 miles along the Cornish coast in August this year.

Kevin raised over £500 for Epilepsy UK, a charity particularly important to him, since this is a condition suffered by many of the people he supports. Kevin was also keen to raise the positive profile of Achieve together and all the fantastic work that we do.

Kevin’s inspiration is his sister, Tracy, who is a personal trainer and with whom he always runs with.  This huge achievement took the pair 15 hours. They finished, exhausted at 9pm, but unbelievably Kevin was back in work at 7.30am the following morning!

Kevin said:

“Since joining Achieve Together in January, I have been fortunate to support some truly amazing residents who live with epilepsy. Epilepsy is a condition that I have had to learn about and this condition has now become close to my heart and I wanted to raise awareness and money for Epilepsy UK”.

A huge congratulations to the both of you on this massive feat.
