Independently Audited : September 2025

“Woodridge House is committed to delivering compassionate, personalised care that supports each individual’s dignity, independence, and wellbeing. While the recent review identified areas for improvement in medicines management and risk involvement, the service demonstrates strong foundations with a safe environment, effective multidisciplinary working, and kind, respectful staff. With a clear vision for continuous improvement, Woodridge House is focused on enhancing its governance and maintaining a safe, inclusive, and supportive home for those it serves.”

What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

The home is a large detached house in the centre of Gillingham with good access links to the Medway towns and surrounding areas. Each of the ten bedrooms has an en-suite bath, shower or wet room and the house has four shared communal reception rooms.

The ground floor has three en-suite bedrooms plus a communal bathroom with a very large bath and overhead tracking for people with mobility issues. There’s a wheelchair-accessible lift, although this cannot take certain modified wheelchairs. On the first floor, there is an additional lounge/sensory room and seven en-suite bedrooms.

The garden includes a sensory area with seating, raised sensory planting and subtle ramping to allow easy access for people needing mobility support.

The home is a couple of minutes away from a parade of shops, including a supermarket, hairdresser, café, pub, fast food outlet and a chemist.

Lifestyle

The people living at the home are active in the community. They attend courses at the local college and regularly go swimming and trampolining. One of their favourite sessions at the local pool is hydrotherapy.

At home, people enjoy the weekly physiotherapy, reflexology and music sessions.

One person we supported worked very hard with his key worker and secured a job locally as a volunteer.
