More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this support setting
Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Winston Lodge is a specialist residential home in Waterlooville, supporting adults with learning disabilities, mental health and epilepsy.
People are supported through the use of person-centred plans that promote increased choice, control and independence and are encouraged to keep active and participate in the community.
Our team work in partnership with people they support, families, carers, advocates and health and social care professionals to ensure that the support provided is proactive and appropriate.
At Winston Lodge, 24-hour team support is available; this includes core support and additional individual one-to-one support, which is identified through our initial assessment process and reviewed on a regular basis.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Winston Lodge has a very established team, with over half the team members having worked in the home for 5-15 years. Several people supported have also been with the home for over 20 years.
The home comprises 11 bedrooms and additional communal areas, including a living room, dining room, conservatory and large garden.
It is within easy walking of local bus services which provide good links to the town centre where there’s a wide range of local facilities and supported employment opportunities.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
People living here are supported to take part in a range of social and leisure activities in order to build on social skills as well as confidence. This can include swimming, gardening, bowling, meals out and cinema trips, to name a few.
People living at the home also attend regular friendship groups at their local day centre. It is a great way to meet new friends, but also to socialise with the people they already know.
A regular and popular evening activity is karaoke, maybe we’ll find our next X-Factor winner!
People living at this home are a mix of outgoing people and reserved people, and all mix well. People who do enjoy socialising gather in the hub of the home, the dining room.
