Wembdon Rise is a residential home supporting adults with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge, sight impairment and epilepsy. The service has an extremely friendly and family-orientated approach, which creates a very warm and welcoming environment.
Individuals are supported to develop person-centred plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and increased independence skills whilst focusing on a PBS approach to reduce everyday anxieties.
The local learning disability team are regular external professionals to the house; services include occupational therapy, speech and language and psychiatry.
The staff at Wembdon Rise use a consistent and person-centred approach to help individuals achieve their goals and aspirations. They have also supported 50% of the people who live at Wembdon Rise to reduce their medications safely in line with the STOMP pledge.
