Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Ty Dol has a warm, friendly and relaxed feel, where everyone is supported to feel at home and included. Although it is registered as a residential home, support is shaped around a supported living approach.
Each person is encouraged to build their independence and play an active role in choosing the support they want and receive. People enjoy a wide range of activities, both individually and together. Group adventures have included visiting waterfalls across South Wales and walking routes such as Pen y Fan and Cadair Idris.
The home also enjoys celebrating special occasions throughout the year, including St David’s Day and Halloween.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Ty Dol is a modern, welcoming property in a residential area, with easy access to the local town. Recently refurbished, the home has 12 self-contained studio flats, each with its own lounge, kitchen and dining area, separate bedroom and en-suite wet room. This gives the people we support the privacy and independence of their own space in a comfortable, homely setting.
There are also shared spaces where people can relax, spend time together and build friendships, including a communal lounge, quiet room, small courtyard and garden. Wi-Fi is available for the people we support, and Ty Dol has a transport vehicle that can be used for trips.

Ty Dol is based in Gorseinon, within easy reach of local shops, cafés, a library and a variety of supermarkets. A GP surgery and leisure centre are also within walking distance, offering convenient access to healthcare services, swimming, fitness classes and indoor sports.
Nearby Parc y Werin provides open green space for walks, as well as bowling greens and a football pitch. Gorseinon has good bus links, making it easy to visit Swansea city centre for shopping, museums, galleries and entertainment.
Swansea Bay is ideal for seaside walks and cycling, while the Gower Peninsula offers beautiful beaches, countryside trails and scenic days out. These local connections give people plenty of choice when planning everyday activities and trips further afield.
