What we offer
A safe and supportive place to call home
This home currently has ten self-contained flats, each with its own kitchen, bathroom, and living room. There’s also an outdoor communal garden area, set across two levels, which is open to people we support. The home also boasts two new ground-floor flats.
This home has a real sense of community, with people we support often choosing to socialise together in their apartments with support from our teams.
The property directly overlooks the beautiful sandy beaches of Westgate, boasting stunning sea views from some of the rooms inside. The home is also close to shops, restaurants, a cinema, and the railway station, and there are coastal walks and a good bus service into Margate and Canterbury and around the local area. Westgate also has train services into London.

We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
Our experienced team gets to know each person we support so well that we know when a person needs help and when to let them do things for themselves.
The home could be described as very active, sociable, and lively. People living here are d/Deaf or hearing impaired, and people communicate in a variety of preferred ways, including Makaton, lip reading, and sign language. Team members are trained in all of these communication techniques.
We work closely with each person, their family, support network and healthcare professionals to create a tailored support plan so we know how each person wants to be supported and what they want to achieve, as well as their preferred method of communication.
People can come and go as they please, and they tell us they really feel at home. There’s a strong and supportive family atmosphere here that visitors often comment on.
