Thoughtfully designed for independent living

This supported living home provides support and accommodation for adults with moderate learning disabilities and associated physical and mental health-related conditions.

The team supports people using person-centred plans that are tailored towards each persons unique needs and aim to increase confidence, decision-making skills, rights and responsibilities. People are supported to be as independent as possible and to take part in a wide range of activities that enrich their lives and build on skills. The highly experienced team work closely with each person, families and health care professionals in order to provide the best support possible.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place

Located in the centre of Plymouth, this home has two large bedrooms, each with en suite bathroom facilities. There are multiple communal areas, including a communal lounge, large fully equipped kitchen/diner, front garden and rear enclosed patio area. The whole accommodation is on one level with stepped access at the front.

The Lodge is recently refurbished in a quiet residential street and has easy access to the city centre and many local amenities. and is on a major bus route and within easy walking distance of Plymouth train station.

Lifestyle

People are supported to take part in a range of activities in order to build on their skills and independence. People take part in a range of leisure activities both within the home and their wider community. This includes cinema trips, shopping, day trips, bowling, swimming, arts and crafts, day centre activities and any other activity that people request to get involved in.

People are also supported to develop their life skills with the aim of increasing independent living. These include budgeting skills and weekly planning workshops, daily living skills, including meal preparation, cooking and domestic skills.

The Lodge also provides people with the choice and support to attend college, paid work placements and local events.
