Thoughtfully designed for independent living

Located in Merstham near Redhill, this specialist-supported living home supports adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and communication difficulties. People are supported to develop person-centred plans that promote increased choice, independence and control over their lives.

People are supported to express their rights freely and become contributing members of the community. The team focus on moving people towards independence through things such as paid and voluntary employment and a wide range of social activities.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place

The home is split into two areas, each comprising of five en-suite studio flats with kitchenettes designed to enable people to become more independent. The first floor is accessible by lift and contains five internal flats. The ground floor contains five internal and one annexed flat externally with an en-suite bedroom. Each area also includes communal space for people to enjoy, including a large kitchen and open-plan lounge area.

The home is within easy walking distance of the train station and local bus services, both of which provide good links to a wide range of local community facilities and to central London.

Lifestyle

People here are supported to take part in a variety of activities in order to build on skills and confidence. These can be both in the community and in the home.

Activities include cinema trips, shopping, meals out, pub trips, swimming, bowling and day centre activities.

People are also supported to develop life skills such as cooking, meal preparation, self-care, budgeting and grocery shopping. People are also encouraged to take up further education, volunteering and/or paid work as this is a great step towards independent living.
