More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this support setting
Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Situated in Penge, South East London, this is a supported living home for adults with learning disabilities, mental health needs and behaviours that may challenge. The home suits people moving from residential care or their family home who need a transition before moving into more independent living environments.
Our aim is to decrease 1:1 support hours as skills are further developed, and greater independence is gained where possible. Support is structured to ensure that the person has the opportunity to access a full range of activities within the community, including, where possible, employment opportunities and access to local colleges.
This home’s profile number is 689.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
This home is a large detached house that has nine single rooms and one bedsit on the ground floor. The property is split over three floors plus a basement. Each floor is comprised of a fitted kitchen, bath, and shower with separate toilet facilities. A large communal lounge is available on the ground floor where there’s also a large garden for all to enjoy.
The home has the added benefit of being located close to local shops, amenities and with good transport links.
People hold their own tenancy with the Landlord, and the rent would typically be claimed through Housing Benefits.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
This home is warm and friendly, and people living here see and treat each other like family. The team supports people to increase their independence through accessing a full range of activities within the community, including, where possible, employment opportunities and access to local colleges. People also take part in leisure activities, including swimming, bowling, cinema visits, weekly meals out, cooking for others, and arts and crafts.
The home is generally quiet and relaxed in the morning as people are exploring the local area, but come the evening, the home comes alive, and there is a real buzz as people share stories about their day and cook together.
Additionally, the home holds many events throughout the year, including tea parties where cakes are plentiful, refreshments flow and a barbecue sizzles. People enjoy many happy hours playing games and hosting activities.
