What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

The home has six bedrooms and three bathrooms. There are multiple communal areas for socialising, including a large lounge where most people congregate, as well as a smaller, quiet area.

The house also has two kitchens, so there is plenty of scope to develop cooking skills. There is a very large garden where a lot of social activities and events take place, as well as a pool table in one of the garages.

The house is situated a 5-minute walk from the local village shops, and there are excellent bus links into surrounding areas, which are great for day trips.

Lifestyle

People are supported to lead active lives and take part in a range of activities that can help increase social and communication skills. These include swimming, cinema trips, gardening, arts and crafts, day centres and access to community facilities to name a few. People are also supported in going on any day trips or holidays of their choice.

Parents are welcome at the home at any time and drop in frequently. We also arrange meals throughout the year for parents and those we support to enjoy together. We encourage discussions about how support is provided and what activities people would like to host through quarterly meetings.

We actively encourage and support everyone to take part in any voluntary placements, paid employment and/or education.

We also encourage the development of life skills such as cleaning, and each individual is responsible for the upkeep of their rooms and shared rooms. Meals are cooked from scratch, and we encourage everyone to get involved.
