Lifestyle

We use person centred approaches and thinking to aid people to develop their support and health plans, mindful of individual aspirations. People may require support to overcome social anxieties, mental health conditions and associated risky behaviours. Positive Behaviour Support Plans, or Mental Health Plans can be developed, with support from local health services.

Risk issues such as self-harm, suicidal ideation, behaviours which challenge, hoarding and any behaviours which could lead to contact with the criminal justice system are skilfully supported with risk oversight from our internal Positive Behaviour Support or Forensic Mental Health Teams.

We focus on supporting people to manage their mental health well, developing greater coping and life skills. We support people to be meaningfully occupied in education and employment, to activity contribute to and be part of the local community. Taking account prior trauma, difficulties with socialising etc, we respect that for some people this may take time, and we will work at the person’s pace.

The team actively pay attention to the personal identity of everyone, to ensure appropriate and respectful support relating to sexual, gender and cultural identity.

The team are proud of success in supporting people who have experienced significant trauma and restrictions in their life to maintain long term stability, and enhanced quality of life.
