Lifestyle
Roxby House provides specialist, person-centred support for autistic people, with a strong focus on developing life, social and communication skills. Each person is assessed by a dedicated team to create tailored development programmes that promote confidence, self-awareness and increasing independence.
The home uses structured, low-arousal environments to reduce anxiety and support learning, alongside positive reinforcement to encourage emotional wellbeing. Extensive facilities, calm spaces and predictable routines help people make sense of their world and build flexibility of thought.
People are supported to integrate into community life, often gaining real work opportunities, and can study towards Unit Award Schemes from the Assessment and Qualifications Alliance. Roxby House offers a pathway of support, guiding people smoothly through transitions towards greater independence – whether that’s into supported living, further education, or external placements – with careful planning and the involvement of families and professionals.
