About this support setting

Thoughtfully designed for independent living

Roseville House is a residential home in Wem, close to Shrewsbury. for adults with autism spectrum conditions, learning disabilities and behaviours that may be challenge.

Roseville provides support meeting people’s individual needs through the development of person-centred plans that are tailored and focused on positive outcomes. The support is designed to encourage the development of life skills, including deeper integration within the wider community, as well as increased independence.

People are supported to take part in a wide range of activities that enrich their lives and build on skills. The support team work closely with each person, their family and health care professionals in order to provide the best care and support. All team members receive and regularly refresh their Autism Awareness training.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place

Roseville House is a large detached home central to the small market town of Wem, close to Shrewsbury.

It has a homely atmosphere, with a number of communal areas, including a large lounge, dining room, a smaller lounge and a well-equipped kitchen. One bedroom has en-suite facilities, with access to communal bathroom facilities on the ground floor and first floor, respectively. The home has a fleet vehicle which can be used for people to access the wider community.

Wem station and local bus stops are only a 5-minute walk away from the home, as well as pubs, shops and restaurants.

Lifestyle

People living here at Roseville House are encouraged to participate in a wide range of activities designed to increase their independence and build social skills. Sports and exercise are encouraged, such as swimming, as well as trips and holidays. People also enjoy getting involved in local coffee mornings and gardening and cooking clubs.

The team support people to develop life skills, which include budgeting, meal preparation and self-care, as well as identifying any educational, voluntary and/or work placements.
