About this home

Little Orchard is a specialist residential home in Hordle, Hampshire, for adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), communication and sensory impairments and complex health needs. Little Orchard has been fully adapted to provide safe and homely support to adults with more complex needs.

People are supported to develop person-centred plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence. Individualised health action plans are also developed to assist health issues.

Our dedicated Clinical Team works in partnership with people to identify the support they require with regard to physical, emotional, cultural, cognitive and communication needs.

What we offer

Little Orchard is a warm, homely and fully adapted home comprising of six bedrooms. The home is fully adapted for people with physical disabilities and has a great support team.

Communal areas include a large activity room, lounge with a cinema screen and kitchen/diner, as well as a lovely, well-kept garden, which backs onto a field.

Little Orchard is situated a few miles from the New Forest and the coast, located in the lovely village of Hordle. It is a bus ride from New Milton, which is a larger town with shops and leisure centre. The home has an adapted vehicle.

Lifestyle

People are supported to take part in a wide range of activities in order to increase social and communication skills as well as confidence in their home and wider community.

Examples of activities include cinema trips, lunches out, gardening, and swimming. Recently a bubble therapist came to the home and held a session which everyone enjoyed a lot.

Little Orchard also holds regular social events throughout the year, including their yearly garden party, where they invite families, team members and neighbours.
