Thoughtfully designed for independent living
At this warm and welcoming home, the team are committed to ensuring every person’s voice is heard, valued and respected, regardless of their ability to verbally communicate. Through close partnership working with families and professionals, the team develop a deep understanding of each individual’s preferences, wishes and aspirations.
This home has a real family feel, and the people we support enjoy spending time together both in the home and while going out for trips and activities. A favourite activity in the home is playing games, either inside or out in the garden in the spring and summer months.
The team focus on what people can do, recognising and celebrating each person’s strengths and potential. They are passionate about ensuring the people we support are treated with the same care, compassion and respect that we would expect for our own loved ones.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Heathdene is a spacious five-bedroom detached bungalow in Govilon. On the ground floor, there are four bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms, including two with hoist facilities to support safe and comfortable transfers. The first floor has a further large bedroom, alongside a bathroom and separate shower, and can be reached using the fitted stairlift.
The spacious rear garden provides an inviting setting where the people we support can enjoy gardening, outdoor games, barbecues and social events throughout the year. There is also a relaxation pod, offering a peaceful space to unwind, listen to music, read or enjoy sensory activities away from the busier areas of the home.

Situated in the Govilon area, on the outskirts of the historic market town of Abergavenny, the home is located in a quiet area while remaining close to local amenities. There are plenty of shops, cafés and pubs, and a local market is held three times a week.
Set on the edge of the Brecon Beacons, Abergavenny offers plenty in terms of outdoor opportunities, with beautiful countryside just a stone’s throw away. Abergavenny hosts annual festivals, including a spring writing and literary festival and the popular culinary festival in September of each year.
