About this home

Danbury is a residential home for adults aged with learning difficulties, including autism spectrum conditions. The service offers a person-centred planning approach tailored towards individual needs and focused on outcomes.

Individuals are supported to be as independent as possible, participating as active members of the community and taking part in meaningful activities. People are supported to identify and maintain leisure activities as well as any work placements/ education placements. Team members are available 24 hours a day, including waking night support when required.

What we offer

Danbury is a five-bedroom property with four bedrooms on the top floor and one downstairs. There are three shared bathrooms and one separate toilet facility. There are also multiple communal facilities for when individuals want to socialise with others, including a conservatory, dining room, lounge and kitchen.

There is a large garden where social and leisure activities can take place, as well as a garage for parking.

The coastal location of the service is ideal and near to all local community facilities such as shops, restaurants, a beach and a pier. There are excellent transport links to the surrounding areas, as the train station is only a short distance from the service.

Lifestyle

At Danbury, people are supported to lead active lives and take part in a wide range of activities such as shopping, swimming, visiting the cinema, day trips to the beach and pier, weekly meals out and pub trips, to name a few.

Individuals are supported to develop important life skills in order to increase their independence, such as cooking, meal preparation, personal care and budgeting.

Team members also actively encourage all individuals to obtain voluntary or paid work placements in order to increase their confidence and social skills.
