More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this home
Thoughtfully designed homes for independent living
Situated in the attractive Derbyshire market town of Ilkeston, this lovely home consists of two bungalows nestling side by side in their own attractive gardens. These purpose-built homes allow for the highest care and support to be provided for ten adults with profound learning and physical disabilities.
No two people are alike in their personalities or needs, and the support we give always reflects this. We develop individual support plans, and each person supported has dedicated support workers who deal with specific aspects of their support.
We encourage close contact with families and developing close and lasting relationships with relatives. We offer a very high standard of care for everyone, delivered by an experienced and committed team who do everything they can to make people’s lives as rich and fulfilling as possible.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place to call home
Both houses have individually decorated bedrooms that reflect the personality of each person we support. The homes also have large and airy communal areas, including lounges and a dining room.
Complementing these is a sensory room that allows people to experience a range of tactile and visual stimuli. We also offer an in-house cinema screen with an audio surround sound system.
Externally, the homes have a secure and secluded patio area, which is attached to an exceptional sensory garden, enabling people to grow and tend their own fruit and vegetables.
We want those we support and their families to feel safe, happy, and secure in the knowledge that they have a warm and welcoming home that will do everything it can for them to make the most out of life.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
People we support lead busy, fulfilling lives and their interests, choices, and needs are reflected in a wide variety of activities which take place within the home and in the community.
Everyone enjoys person-centred daily activities and special monthly activities, and we look forward to our annual family and friends BBQ, where everyone comes together and enjoys good food, music, and wine.
An important part of our year is the annual holiday that every person supported enjoys, either on a one-to-one basis with a support worker or with friends. We want people we support to enjoy a holiday that is personal to them and reflects their likes and dislikes as completely as possible.
Involvement of relatives and friends is important to us, and we encourage families to take an active part in the ongoing care planning of their loved one and actively support people back to their family homes for special events or simply just popping home for a cuppa.
