More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this support setting
Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Bradwell House is a residential home for adults with learning disabilities, epilepsy, autism, visual impairments, and behavioural and emotional difficulties. The home aims to support individuals to realise their potential through trying new things, developing new skills and finding out their personal likes and preferences.
We support people in an active way, supporting them to be as independent as possible and to take part in various leisure activities that can increase confidence and enrich people’s lives.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Bradwell House is a large, two-storey, ten-bedroom house (four bedrooms downstairs and six upstairs) in a residential setting in Saltwood. All bedrooms have their own ensuite with either a bath or shower.
The house has three gardens, with a patio, fruit and vegetable area, and a large front garden with swings and a trampoline. There is also a newly revamped sensory garden with a sensory wall. In addition, there are communal areas for people to socialise in, including a living room, dining room and kitchen.
The service is located in an ideal area, with community facilities such as Saltwood’s historic castle, Brockhill Country Park, riding stables and a leisure centre. There is also a post office, pubs, shops and a café/tearoom that opens as a bistro in the evenings.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
At Bradwell House, each person has an individualised activity plan tailored to their likes and dislikes, and staff are happy to arrange any other activities that the individual would like to take part in. This includes trampolining, cycling, swimming and music sessions to name a few.
Those living at Bradwell House regularly access local facilities as well as education services and local clubs. There have also been events at the service, such as a the garden party and BBQ to mark the 90th birthday of HRH Elizabeth II, to which all the local neighbours were invited.
