What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

Ashford Lodge is in the picturesque village of Chilham, just seven miles from Canterbury. There are two lounges and a dining room with easy access to the garden, as well as a modern kitchen.

The main house has eight en suite rooms set over three floors – one on the ground floor, five on the first floor, and two open plan.

There is a detached annexe in the grounds that provides a self-contained kitchen, lounge, and bedroom that has its own garden.

Lifestyle

At Ashford Lodge, people are supported to take part in a range of leisure activities in order to build on their social and communication skills. They regularly participate in dance courses, swimming, bowling, and cinema and visit the local trampoline park, nature parks and zoos. Ashford Lodge has a large garden with its very own vegetable patch, where people are supported to grow herbs and vegetables, which they then use for cooking.

Ashford Lodge could be described as a lively and active home, so it would suit somebody who enjoys keeping busy and is not averse to loud environments. People at this home like to be sociable in the communal areas but also enjoy their alone time in solo activities and quiet time in their own rooms.

The team will facilitate the development of independent living skills, including meal preparation, grocery shopping, budgeting, and self-care. People will also be supported to identify and maintain any volunteering, education and/or paid work placements.
