Awards at Achieve together

Celebrating dedication and impact

At Achieve together, we believe in recognising the extraordinary.

Every year, our Heroes’ Awards shine a spotlight on the people and teams who go above and beyond to make a difference – from team members and managers to people we support themselves.

It’s our way of saying thank you – and celebrating the values that shape who we are.

What are the Heroes’ Awards?

The Heroes’ Awards are more than just a ceremony. They’re a celebration of real people, real stories and real impact – co-produced with people we support.

Anyone can make a nomination – whether you’re a person supported, family member, friend, team member or professional – and every nomination helps us celebrate the everyday moments of brilliance that happen across our organisation.

How it works

Each November, nominations open across our communities. From there:

  1. Regional winners are chosen by our Area and Regional Managers.
  2. Finalists go on to the national stage, judged by Unity Representatives, Executive Team members and Ambassadors.
  3. It all leads to powerful and uplifting regional award ceremonies that brings people together.

Heroes Awards 2024: A celebration to remember

The 2024 ceremony in Milton Keynes was our biggest yet – and our most meaningful.

  • Over 380 nominations received across all categories.
  • More than 100 nominations for Team of the Year alone.
  • A celebration of sustainability and inclusion – with reusable table centrepieces and seed paper name tags made by people at our Education Day Services in Bath.
  • Unity Representatives co-hosted the event, alongside board and executive members – making it a truly co-produced celebration.

Co-production in action

From shortlisting to presenting awards, the Heroes’ Awards are shaped by people we support.

Our Unity Representatives play a central role — shaping decisions, guiding planning, and helping deliver the event from start to finish. This event was the first ever to receive Unity’s Co-production Stamp of Approval — a powerful recognition of true partnership, not just participation. It’s not just recognition. It’s empowerment.

Voices from the community

The most powerful stories come from people whose lives have been changed by great support.

“The team’s unwavering support has transformed my family member’s life.”

“Our manager’s leadership has created a safe, positive space for everyone.”

“They handled a difficult situation with such care and compassions. It meant everything.”

These stories show why the Heroes’ Awards matter – and why we’ll keep celebrating the incredible people who make Achieve together what it is.
