We are delighted to advise that Fran D’Souza, previously a Quality Assurance Advisor in the Quality Team has now joined the Health & Wellbeing Team as Forensic Mental Health Practitioner.

We asked Fran what she was most looking forward to in her new role and she said: “Being able to provide positive clinical support to teams and the organisation to ensure that every person has the best possible opportunity at succeeding and living the life they want”. Fran has been with the organisation for ten years and says she most loves “The passion, drive and hard work you see from people you work with every day”. She added: “This motivates me to do my best as we are all working towards the common goal of providing good quality support to individuals”.

We asked Fran about what her job will entail: The main purpose of my role is to support managers and teams to provide excellent support to people with significant mental health issues, pose a risk of offending and/or risk of deliberate self-harm/suicide. The support provided could be related to setting up training, responding to referrals, risk management, crises, and relapse prevention planning, and promoting the use of the least restrictive support.
