Boo Holmquest
D/Deaf Services & BSL Advisor
Boo has worked in the health and social care sector for more than 25 years, following an earlier career supporting children with additional needs, including working as a Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCo).
Having been with Achieve together since 2008, Boo has dedicated much of her career to supporting D/deaf adults who use British Sign Language (BSL), including people with learning disabilities and additional physical needs. Prior to her current role, Boo was a Level 5 Registered Manager, overseeing three supported living services and a D/deaf community outreach service.
As Achieve together’s D/deaf Services and BSL Advisor, Boo provides guidance and specialist support working alongside others across the organisation, helping to ensure people who are D/deaf receive high-quality, person-centred support that meets their communication needs. Boo is a language professional, and interpreter working with D/Deaf and Deafblind people.
