Rachael Hawkins 

Rachael has been with Achieve together for more than 26 years, working her way up from Support Worker to her current role as Operations Director for Wales and West of England. Read more about her story.

I began my career in social care at the age of 19, at a time when I was unsure of my long‑term direction but open to learning and opportunity.

I started as a Support Worker in a residential home and progressed quickly, embracing every opportunity to develop my skills and experience. Throughout my journey, I have worked across a range of care models, supporting individuals with diverse needs, including mental health, and learning disabilities. These opportunities ultimately led me to my current role as Operations Director.

I am proud to have worked for Achieve together for 26 years, during which time I have been inspired by many colleagues and leaders who have influenced my values and approach. I am deeply passionate about leading and supporting teams to deliver uncomplicated, consistent, and high‑quality care. Celebrating success, learning from experience, and continually striving for improvement is fundamental.

Being visible within our homes and building strong relationships with the people we support, our staff teams, and their families is incredibly important to me. This connection gives me a strong sense of purpose and reinforces my commitment to ensuring care and support is delivered with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
