Determined, sociable and always ready for her next adventure, Frankie is a passionate campaigner who uses her voice to help create a more inclusive society.

Frankie’s History

Frankie lives with Glutaric Aciduria Type 2 (GA2), a rare genetic condition that can affect how the body processes certain nutrients. Her early years involved specialist care, careful health management and the unwavering support of her family. Frankie has been supported by Achieve together for 17 years and continues to thrive thanks to her strong relationships with her family, friends and the team members who support her

Campaigning for Change

A dedicated member of Campaign 4 Change, Achieve together’s self-advocacy group, Frankie works alongside other people with learning disabilities to influence change locally and nationally. Through campaigning, conferences and awareness projects, she helps make sure people with profound and multiple learning disabilities are seen, heard and included.

Frankie’s Campaigning Achievements

One of Frankie’s proudest achievements was supporting a campaign for improved Changing Places facilities in Brighton, helping raise awareness of the importance of accessible changing facilities for wheelchair users. She has also contributed to campaigns promoting inclusive language and greater visibility for people with profound and multiple learning disabilities.

Frankie’s Recognition

In recognition of her advocacy work, Frankie was a finalist in the Learning Disability and Autism Leaders’ List and received a Making a Difference Award at Achieve together’s annual Heroes Awards. In 2026 Frankie was also nominated for the Positive Role Model award at the National Diversity Awards.
