Learning at Work Week: Building skills and confidence

From 18 – 22 May, our teams have come together to celebrate Learning at Work Week with a programme designed to inspire curiosity, encourage collaboration and create opportunities for people to learn from one another.

This year’s theme focuses on the power of shared knowledge, recognising that learning doesn’t only happen in formal training environments, but through lived experience, creativity, conversation and the unique perspectives people bring to work every day.

Across the week, team member from different teams will lead short, informal sessions covering a wide range of topics, from wellbeing and accessibility to digital skills, culture, communication and professional development.
The programme reflects our commitment as an organisation to creating a culture where learning is accessible and inclusive.

Highlights from the week include:

  • An introduction to Artificial Intelligence and how emerging technologies are shaping the workplace
  • Deaf Awareness and Introduction to British Sign Language sessions designed to improve accessibility and understanding
  • Practical workshops on LinkedIn, Canva and PowerPoint to support professional growth and digital confidence
  • Sessions exploring cultural awareness, Welsh history and language, and co-production in health and social care
  • Wellbeing-focused discussions including mindfulness through drawing, the importance of sleep, and personal safety and confidence
  • Specialist insight sessions covering data analytics, sensory processing, pensions and tax understanding

What makes Learning at Work Week particularly meaningful is that the sessions are being delivered by our own people. Team members are sharing their expertise, experiences and passions to help others develop new skills, discover different perspectives and build stronger connections across teams.

By creating space for open learning and conversation, we aim to encourage a workplace culture where people feel empowered to ask questions, try something new and continue developing both personally and professionally.

We’re proud to showcase the breadth of knowledge within our organisation and look forward to seeing team members support one another throughout the week.
