Thoughtfully designed homes for independent living
Vallance Gardens is a residential home for adults with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), sensory impairments, and complex health needs, including epilepsy. It is a new specialist home that provides 24-hour support, helping them live as independently as possible and participate in meaningful activities.
Our support team uses a range of communication tools and resources to ensure support is individually tailored to maximise expressive and receptive communication. Teams employ intensive and sensory interaction to enhance a person’s ability to communicate and gain control over their environment. We also provide assessment and support from Speech and Language Therapists to ensure comprehensive communication strategies.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place to call home
Vallance Gardens is a residential home with seven bedrooms across two floors, featuring fully accessible wet rooms and bathrooms. The home offers a large communal area for socialising, including an open-plan living room, dining room, and kitchen. The expansive garden hosts numerous leisure and social activities, especially during the summer months.
Accessibility is a priority at Vallance Gardens, with a lift providing access to all levels and ceiling tracking installed in bedrooms and bathrooms where hoists are needed. The home also has its own vehicle, facilitating day trips to surrounding areas.
Situated in Hove, the home is conveniently located near the vibrant town center and the seafront. A short bus ride takes residents into Brighton town center, offering a wide range of local community facilities. Brighton and Hove’s train stations provide excellent links to central London and nearby coastal towns, while the home’s proximity to the A23 and A27 ensures easy access by road.

The home fosters a strong sense of community, with people supported often coming together in the evenings to share meals and enjoy each other’s company. This creates a busy, lively, and bubbly environment.
People supported at Vallance Gardens lead active lives and participate in a wide range of social and leisure activities. These include community outings such as cinema visits, Boccia sessions, swimming pool, SeaLife, and activities at local day centres. The home also organises day trips to destinations like football stadiums, the beach, and local parks.
The close proximity to Brighton’s seafront allows residents to take full advantage of the city’s many attractions. This includes exploring various shops, dining at restaurants, and enjoying the famous Brighton Pier, among other local facilities.
