Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Ty Dol is a 12-bed residential home situated in Gorseinon just northwest of Swansea and provides specialist support for adults with learning disabilities, mental health and additional complex needs. The home comprises 12 individual self-contained flats that also offer additional communal spaces and a courtyard.
People living at Ty Dol are supported to develop their skills and to increase their confidence in leading a life of their choosing by a skilled and professional team, which includes access to an onsite PBS practitioner.
Our team get to know people well and, together with family and professionals, develop individual plans that are tailored towards people’s needs and focused on short and long-term outcomes. This includes seeking out opportunities to take part in activities and employment that enrich their lives and build on skills whilst providing the best care and support possible.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
A modern property situated in a residential area with ease of access to the local community, Ty Dol is homely and established in the local community.
Newly refurbished, each of the 12 self-contained flats offers a lounge, kitchen, and dining area, along with a separate bedroom and ensuite wet room. Additional communal spaces provide the opportunity for people to make friends and socialise and consist of a small courtyard, lounge, and laundry room.
The location of the home is within walking distance of local shops, cafes and community services and a short journey from Swansea, where people supported can easily access leisure centres, theatres, swimming pools and the coastal attraction of the Mumbles.
Visitors to Ty Dol can park safely just opposite the home in a free car park.

Gorseinon is a small town with plenty of local shops, cafes, pubs, and community amenities situated just 6 miles northwest of Swansea City Centre, near the Loughor estuary, in Wales.
The pace of life at Ty Dol can be as relaxing and or as fast-paced as those being supported wish. It is a home where everyone can be supported to take part in a range of leisure activities of their choosing and could include options such as visiting the local wetland Centre, gardening, shopping, walks in the surrounding countryside, dining out in local pubs and restaurants, seeking work and or increasing skills through learning opportunities.
The home’s location provides easy access to areas of outstanding natural beauty, being close to the Gower Peninsular and the Penllergare Valley Woods, in addition to being within a short distance of Swansea City Centre and all that it has to offer.
