Lifestyle

The team at The Green is committed to supporting people acquiring the skills necessary for independent living, should they choose to pursue it. This includes offering guidance with budget management, meal preparation, and household chores. We empower those we support to explore new experiences and make lifestyle choices based on their own preferences, engaging in meaningful activities that enhance their quality of life.

People supported enjoy a diverse range of outings, including visits to Box Hill, Richmond Park, and various beaches along the south coast. They also participate in activities like cycling, swimming, football tournaments, and athletic days. Additionally, we organise trips to London museums, the zoo, and local snooker and pool clubs, providing a wide range of recreational and exploratory opportunities.

Many of the people supported have secured local employment opportunities, including volunteer roles at the local charity shop and warehouse assistants, as well as paid positions in local bars and DJing events. Furthermore, we facilitate access to educational courses at Sutton College/Orchard Hill College, where people supported can pursue studies in subjects such as mathematics, English, and computers.
