Thoughtfully designed homes for independent living

This modern, spacious, supported living home in Spalding supports adults with learning disabilities and/or with autism spectrum conditions, moving from residential college, foster care or the family home.

The philosophy at the home is one of person-centred support, giving choice and independence, which enables people to develop and maintain skills to give them opportunities and freedom to be as independent as possible. People are supported to take part in a wide range of activities as well as to engage in their wider community. The support team are available 24 hours a day and can be available to support waking nights.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

This home has five large bedrooms, so people have their own space. There are multiple communal areas for when people want to socialise with others, including a communal lounge, dining room/ conservatory and a spacious kitchen. There is also a large garden where many leisure activities and events can take place.

The home is situated in Spalding, Lincolnshire. There are lots of local amenities and facilities close to the North Norfolk Coast.

Lifestyle

The experienced and well-trained team support people to lead active lives, taking part in social and leisure activities that increase social skills, communication and independence. Examples of activities that people have taken part in include swimming, gardening, bike riding, bowling, meals out at restaurants and cinema trips, to name a few.

People are also supported to go on day trips, with some favourites being trips to Skegness, Alton Towers and to Chelsea.

The team promote the development of independence skills, and people are supported to develop daily life skills such as meal preparation, cooking, self-care and budgeting. Additionally, people are encouraged and supported to take on volunteering, education and/or paid work experience in order to promote independent living.
