Thoughtfully designed for independent living
This supported living home for adults with learning disabilities, specialises in dual diagnosis. Emphasis is placed on supporting people to develop their social skills and on empowering them to take control over their own lives. This is achieved through tailored support plans, which are developed by each person with support from people such as their key worker, advocate, local specialist teams and/or care manager.
People are supported to live as independently as possible, taking part in social and leisure activities that enrich their lives and build on independence.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
This is an attractive, spacious home with seven bedrooms and a two-bedroom annexe.
The home is spread across two floors, with three bedrooms and a bathroom, kitchen, lounge/dining room on the ground floor. There are a further four bedrooms a bathroom, and a separate shower room on the first floor with a laundry area and a fully equipped kitchen.
There’s also a self-contained annexe, which comprises of a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, toilet and two bedrooms, allowing the opportunity for specialised provision on a smaller scale. Outside, there is a spacious garden with large trees and a substantial lawn area.
The Library is only 3 minutes away from the home, with local shops in the town centre and a leisure centre just ten minutes by car. There are excellent bus links to the Medway towns and Maidstone, and the train station is ten minutes away, which has links to London Waterloo and Charing Cross stations.

Lifestyle
People living here are supported to lead active lives and take part in a wide range of social and leisure activities both in the community and in their homes. This includes swimming, arts and crafts, day centre activities, trips to the cinema, weekly meals out and many more activities.
The team also support people to go on day trips.
People are supported in becoming more independent through education, work placements and/or volunteering.
