The team focus on supporting people to live a full and active life to achieve greater independence either by reducing 1:1 hours or supporting people to move into their own accommodation with outreach support if required, which can provide a continuity of support.

This home suits people moving from residential care or their family home who need that next safe step and transition before moving into more independent living environments. The team are on hand to provide 24-hour background core support and also offer a sleep-in support option.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

Situated in South London, the home is a spacious detached house located in a quiet residential area of Forest Hill. It’s split over three floors with seven single rooms and one bedsit on the top floor. The ground and 1st floor each comprise of a lounge, fitted kitchen, bath and shower with separate toilet facilities.

The home has a large garden and the added benefit of being located close to local shops and amenities and with good transport links.

People living here hold their own tenancy with the Landlord, and the rent would typically be claimed through Housing Benefits.

Lifestyle

The friendly and experienced team here support people to take part in a range of activities designed to promote increased independence and build confidence. This can include leisure activities both in the home and in the wider community, such as day trips, nature walks, swimming, bowling, cinema trips, and more.

People also develop their life skills, including meal preparation, cleaning, budgeting, self-care and grocery shopping.

Additionally, the support team support people with identifying and maintaining part-time jobs, voluntary jobs and/or educational placements.

People living here enjoy the homes quiet and calm environment. They can live separate lives from each other but do enjoy group activities with each other. A monthly meeting is hosted to decide which group activities people would like to arrange, with trips to the beach being popular and visiting coastal areas such as Brighton and Southend.
