About this home

Thoughtfully designed homes for independent living

Located in Spalding, this is a supported living home for adults with autism spectrum conditions, severe learning disabilities, acquired brain injury, complex needs including behaviours that may challenge and epilepsy.

The team encourage people they support to be as independent as possible and support them to access further education, employment, social and recreational activities. Person-centred transition plans are developed for each person to build on skills such as budgeting and to become more independent in all areas of their lives.

Support is structured to ensure that each person has the opportunity to access a full range of activities within the community, including, where possible, employment opportunities and access to local colleges.

This home’s profile number is 512.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

This home is a large bungalow that has been converted into a single self-contained flat plus a further two-bedroom self-contained flat. The building has been furbished to a very high standard, and all the bedrooms have en-suite wet rooms plus communal areas.

Set in rural Lincolnshire, this home benefits from large expanses of countryside and walking paths. This is coupled with easily accessible shopping environments, allowing people to experience social situations positively and specifically based on their individual abilities and needs.

Holbeach is just 2 miles away and has a variety of independent shops and large supermarkets, providing the perfect platform for the introduction of independence skills and positive social contribution without the heightened stimulus, pressure and distractions of a busy city centre. Library and recreational resources are also available, including a gym, park, tennis courts, football pitches and a youth club.

Lifestyle

The home has a big garden, which people living here help to maintain. They like to spend time relaxing and pruning the garden as they find it therapeutic. That’s, of course, if it’s not raining.

Most of the people here also enjoy cooking, and the team support people to try new recipes and ingredients.

A recent activity introduced to the house is horse riding at the local equestrian centre. This has proven to be a huge hit!
