Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Stoneybeck has a warm and friendly feel, where each person is supported to enjoy life in a way that suits them. Care and support is person-centred and shaped around each person’s needs, interests and goals, helping people to build confidence, learn new skills and feel more independent.
The home offers plenty of opportunities to have fun and make memories, from themed nights and movie days to beach trips and outings to local sites such as Pontefract Castle, museums, bowling and the cinema. Families are always welcome to visit, and the people we support are helped to take part in local gatherings and seasonal events, including the summer fair and Easter and Christmas celebrations.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Stoneybeck has five bedrooms in the main bungalow and two additional living spaces in a self-contained annex accessed via the spacious communal garden. Each bedroom is ensuite for both comfort and privacy.
The garden is a great place for relaxing, socialising, enjoying the sun and even a spot of gardening.
The home also offers specialist Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), with our DBT Champions providing person-centred support. This approach helps individuals develop coping strategies, embrace change, and manage behaviours and thoughts that may lead to negative emotions.

Our Stoneybeck home is based in Kinsley, a small town in the Pontefract area with plenty to enjoy nearby. Local shops, cafés and pubs are within easy reach, giving the people we support the chance to pop out for essentials, enjoy tea and cake, or spend the evening at the pub.
Local parks are a short walk away and are perfect for a stroll in nature, a picnic or wildlife spotting.
For days out further afield, the nearby train station, just a 15-minute walk or a 3-minute journey on public transport, offers direct links to Leeds, Sheffield and Doncaster, while good bus routes make it easy to explore the surrounding area.
