Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Rochester House is a residential home for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, complex health and physical needs.
Rochester House adopts an outcome-focused approach. They develop a package of support based on an individual’s assessed needs, and opportunities to move on to supported living services can be included within outcome plans. What we offer
A safe and supportive place

The ground floor comprises of a large communal lounge and dining room, adapted kitchen, wet room and with a lift to the first floor and lower ground floor, eight bedrooms are wheelchair accessible.
Located on the first floor are seven bedrooms and two bathrooms, one of which has an adapted bath and hoist facilities.
On the Lower ground floor, there is an activity room where residents enjoy individual activities of their choice or quiet time for relaxation and meetings. There is a well-equipped sensory room for people to enjoy aromatherapy and reflexology sessions or to relax with stimulation from the sensory lights and music.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
Rochester House supports people to access a wide range of activities designed to increase the independence of the individual, as well as integrate people into the local community.
Day trips are a frequent feature of the timetable at Rochester House, and people are supported to explore local attractions such as the zoo, shops, restaurants, and pubs and participate in sports such as horse riding, trampolining, and gym visits.
People will also be supported in developing their independent living skills with a view to moving on to needing less team support. This includes meal preparation, budgeting, self-care, grocery shopping and domestic tasks. Individuals will also be supported to identify and maintain any education, paid work and/or volunteering.
Rochester House could be described as a busy home with moments of calmness. People living here are lively and enjoy socialising and interacting with each other in communal spaces such as the garden and lounge.
