About this support setting

Thoughtfully designed for independent living

Pippin House, situated in Newton Abbot, Devon, is a specialist residential home offering 24-hour support for seven deaf and/or deafblind adults with a range of needs, including learning and physical disabilities and mental health challenges.

Our focus is on enhancing independence by building on existing skills and fostering new ones. Our dedicated team provides one-to-one support and is trained in British Sign Language (BSL) to ensure effective communication as part of our comprehensive “total communication” approach.

Lifestyle

Pippin House, a charming Tudor-style detached residence, offers ample space and comfort with its own driveway and expansive garden. The home is equipped with a minibus for convenient day trips, activities, and local transportation.

Weekly in-house activities are tailored to people supporteds’ preferences, featuring craft projects, film nights, dancing, and gentle exercise. Additionally, opportunities for community engagement include swimming, cinema outings, and nature walks, ensuring a variety of enriching experiences for everyone supported.
