About this support setting

Thoughtfully designed for independent living

Phoenix House is a well-established residential home located in a peaceful rural setting near Holywell, North Wales. It provides personalised support for adults with learning disabilities, autism and other neurodivergent conditions. People may present with complex communication difficulties, sensory processing issues, behaviours which may challenge or secondary mental health conditions.

The home features four self-contained flats, each offering one-to-one support tailored to people’s unique needs. With a strong focus on person-centred planning, people are supported to build life skills and increase independence, while families are encouraged to be fully involved. CIW inspections reflect the high quality of care and support provided at Phoenix House.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place

Phoenix House offers a comfortable and supportive environment designed to help people supported develop their skills and independence. Each self-contained flat includes a kitchen, lounge/diner, bathroom, and bedroom, allowing people to live with greater autonomy, while shared laundry facilities and communal areas provide opportunities for socialising. Set in a quiet rural location with landscaped gardens, the home also features a variety of spaces where people can explore their interests, build confidence, and enjoy a high quality of life.

Lifestyle

On-site facilities at Phoenix House are thoughtfully designed to enhance wellbeing, promote engagement, and encourage independence. These include a secure, fenced garden space that offers a safe and calming outdoor environment, perfect for relaxation and recreational activities. People supported can enjoy the outdoor swing, which provides sensory stimulation and gentle movement for comfort and regulation.

Raised beds are available for growing vegetables, supporting therapeutic horticulture activities that help build daily living skills, encourage responsibility, and foster a connection with nature. Additionally, there is a conservatory which features a state-of-the-art sensory interactive floor, offering immersive, multi-sensory experiences that support communication, cognitive development, and emotional regulation in a fun and engaging way.
