About this home

Thoughtfully designed homes for independent living

Peach and Lynray are two homes next to each other, providing residential, bespoke packages of care and support to adults with learning disabilities.

Peach and Lynray use person-centred planning to support people to live the life they choose, make decisions, enhance their daily living and independence skills, understand their rights and responsibilities and access local communities for work, education, training and leisure opportunities. Staff are available 24 hours a day, including waking night staff when required.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place to call home

Peach Cottage is a two-bed service alongside Lynray. Lynray is a large chalet bungalow which has 3 single bedrooms, each decorated to meet individual tastes, choices and sensory needs. Communal areas in both properties include a kitchen, dining room, living room and outside patio area, which can be used for recreational and leisure pursuits by all individuals. In addition, there is a bespoke one-bed annexe within Lynray.

Peach Cottage and Lynray are situated in the village of Rayne in the Braintree district of Essex in the East of England. Rayne has pubs, restaurants and a village green that frequently has sports matches that residents can watch, including cricket.

Lifestyle

Peach and Lynray support individuals to lead active lives and take part in meaningful activities that build on social and communication skills. This includes leisure activities such as dance classes, sensory activities, cooking, swimming, arts and crafts, trips to the cinema, theatre, gym, day trips and holidays.

People are also supported to build on their independence through developing life skills like cooking, self-care and meal preparation. Additionally, they are encouraged to obtain voluntary work, paid work and/or education placements.
