About this support setting

Thoughtfully designed for independent living

Grange Court is a residential home for people with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions and complex needs, including behaviours that may challenge.

The home has a friendly and family-orientated approach, which creates a warm and welcoming environment. Individuals are supported to create person-centred plans that promote increased choice, control over their lives and independence skills. People will be supported in taking part in meaningful activities that enrich their lives and build on existing skills as well as develop new ones.

What we offer

A safe and supportive place

Set in the rural village of Hilperton, the home has three self-contained flats and two bedrooms with en-suites as well a large garden that people can socialise in if they wish.

The location of the home is ideal, with local amenities such as the shopping centre, restaurants, leisure centre and parks close by. Additionally, the bus stop is a short walk from the home, so individuals can easily go into town when they want.

Lifestyle

Each person living here is assigned their own support team member to ensure consistency for people we support. Grange Court is a lively and bubbly atmosphere and is always busy with team members and people we support. Mornings here begin loud and active, but as the day progresses, a calm and relaxed atmosphere can be found here. This is a happy home, and this energy can be felt throughout the home. Although everyone is friendly with each other, people living here tend to enjoy their own company and those of the support team.

At Grange Court, people are supported to lead active lives and take part in a variety of activities that build on social and communication skills. Activities that people can take part in include swimming, gardening, singing classes, discos, and visiting the cinema and the local zoo.

With great links to the community in Wiltshire, individuals can visit the various local amenities, including trips to local restaurants.

In addition to leisure activities, people are supported in learning valuable life skills in order to increase their independence, such as meal preparation and domestic skills.
