Thoughtfully designed for independent living
Chertsey Road is a 24-hour residential home supporting adults with learning disabilities and complex needs.
The home aims to work with individuals who have complex needs and high levels of vulnerability, supporting and enabling them to become more independent in their everyday lives.
Chertsey Road employs an outcome-focused approach, working with individuals to achieve their goals in a way that is meaningful to them. What we offer
A safe and supportive place
Chertsey Road is a bungalow with four bedrooms, all with their own en-suite bathrooms. There are various communal areas for individuals to socialise in if they wish, including a kitchen, dining area and lounge. There is also a large garden that is used for various leisure activities during the summer, such as barbecues and gardening.
The home is within walking distance of local shops, pubs and restaurants and has easy access to public transport links, which can be used for various day trips.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
Chertsey Road is an all-female home ready to welcome somebody to make this their new home. The ladies here are full of life, and this home has been described as a noisy environment which can get noisy. Everyone gets on well here, and they enjoy socialising with each other. You can usually find the ladies watching their favourite movies together in the communal lounge. These relationships have been formed over 24 years.
There is a lot of activity at Chertsey Road, and the ladies enjoy baking, cooking, arts & crafts and films. Every Thursday, the home has a visit from the ‘music man’, and the ladies enjoy a singalong to their favourite songs. At Chertsey Road, people can participate in a range of activities supported by the team. These include music sessions, arts and crafts, weekly trips to the local restaurants, trips to the park, sensory sessions and day centre visits.
Chertsey Road holds regular events such as picnics and tea parties, which are greatly enjoyed by all people living here.
