More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this home
Thoughtfully designed homes for independent living
Beech Trees is a residential home for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, restricted mobility, behaviours that may challenge, communication needs and/or mental health needs. This home aims to support individuals to achieve their goals, participate in meaningful activities and become more self-sufficient by building on their skills.
We can continue with previously established rehabilitation goals and strategies or, where required, adjust these or develop new ones. This home has one waking night team member, and there is a daytime team that supports with all aspects of care, including independent living skills. Individuals are assessed for 1:1 hours.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place to call home
Beech Trees has seven bedrooms, all of which either have an en-suite or wet room, with a toilet and wash basin.
There are also multiple communal areas for when individuals want to socialise with others, including a communal lounge, dining room and kitchen that people can access with support if needed.
The home also has a fully equipped sensory cabin in the garden, which has a computer for residents to use, as well as an adult swing. Lots of social and leisure activities take place in the garden, especially during the summer months.
Beech Trees is conveniently located for access to Woking, which has a wide range of shops and other facilities. The train station in Woking provides services to London Waterloo, Guildford, and the south coast. Beech Trees has its own service vehicle, so day trips are possible.

We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
The home could be described as a lively and loud home that can get noisy at times.
At Beech Trees, people are encouraged to lead active lives, taking part in a range of leisure activities that can help increase their social and communication skills. Some examples of these include hydrotherapy, aromatherapy, day centre activities, swimming, cycling, music classes, horse riding, gardening, lift-up club, arts and crafts, textiles, cook and eat, dance classes, pottery, trips to the cinema, bowling, performing arts and photography.
There has also been trips to Bird World and Wesley Garden, which people have enjoyed a lot. One resident went to the theatre for the first time and watched the whole show from start to finish, they can’t wait to go back for another show.
Additionally, we support people in any volunteering and/or work experience they want to do. One person has recently started voluntary work and has found it has increased their confidence and independence a lot. One person living here has attended fire marshal training, and she is now helping during weekly fire checks, which is a great achievement.
