Lifestyle

Self-directed support is at the heart of everything we do at Applegate House. We empower people supported to take the lead in creating and developing their own personal development plans, tailored to their unique goals and needs. These plans may include accessing voluntary or paid work placements, exploring further education and learning opportunities, as well as participating in a wide range of social and leisure activities that enhance their independence and quality of life.

As a skilled support team we focus on helping people become more independent by providing the tools and support to manage everyday tasks such as running their own household, managing budgets, and preparing meals. This makes Applegate House an ideal stepping stone for those looking to transition into supported or independent living.

Our approach to support is centred around choice and control, ensuring that each person supported is empowered to make decisions about their daily life and future goals. We are committed to providing a person-centred environment that promotes dignity, respect, and inclusion.

By focusing on personalisation and development, we aim to make the sometimes challenging transition into independent living both fulfilling and rewarding. Our goal is to equip people we support with the skills, confidence, and independence they need to live happy, inclusive lives within their communities.
