More about our approach to quality and safeguardingAbout this home
Thoughtfully designed homes for independent living
Cloverdale House is a 24-hour residential home providing specialist support for adults with learning disabilities, autism spectrum conditions, and behaviours that may challenge. Our experienced team uses Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) to create a safe, supportive and empowering environment for everyone who lives here.
We take a truly person-centred and holistic approach, working closely with each person supported to understand their needs, preferences and aspirations. Support plans are co-produced to reflect personal goals and are regularly reviewed to ensure the right balance of care, independence and meaningful engagement.
Each person has their own tailored activity plan, built around their interests and strengths, encouraging participation in purposeful activities and promoting skill-building and self-sufficiency in everyday life.

What we offer
A safe and supportive place to call home
Cloverdale House is a spacious, three-storey residential home in Hove, near Brighton, offering personalised support for up to 11 adults. Each bedroom includes its own en-suite bathroom, with one designed as a self-contained flat featuring a private kitchen and lounge to support more independent living.
While everyone has their own private space, the home also offers a warm, social atmosphere with shared communal areas including a large living room with garden access, a dining room, fully equipped kitchen, and a laundry room. The secure garden is a much-loved feature, complete with a summer house, vegetable patch, BBQ area and sensory cabin — ideal for outdoor activities and relaxing in nature.
Located on a peaceful, tree-lined road near the seafront, Cloverdale House is within easy reach of shops, parks, and local amenities. People we support are active in the community, regularly attending local day centres, social clubs, and events. Activities include accessible cycling with Wheels 4 All, swimming at the local leisure centre, and supported holidays.
To support outings and community involvement, the home also benefits from its own 7-seater vehicle. On-site activities such as sensory sessions, seated exercise classes, and reflexology further enhance the wellbeing and daily experience of everyone who lives at Cloverdale House.
We’re not just participants. We’re planners, presenters, and leaders.

Lifestyle
At Cloverdale House, people we support enjoy a wide range of meaningful activities tailored to their interests and needs. These include arts and crafts, sensory sessions, and aromatherapy, alongside regular opportunities to develop essential independent living skills such as cooking, shopping, and laundry.
We actively support individuals to access education and employment. One person currently works four days a week in a local florist, while another has secured a five-day placement at a nearby charity shop. Others are enrolled in specialist courses at local colleges, including Northbrook College in Worthing.
Community spirit is a big part of life at Cloverdale. The home regularly hosts inclusive events—from themed coffee mornings like a recent pink fundraiser for breast cancer awareness, to fun-filled sports days featuring egg and spoon races, sack races, and shared buffets that bring everyone together.
