Irchester is a residential home for adults with autism spectrum conditions, behaviours that may challenge and additonal complex needs. We take a person-centred approach, tailoring support to individual needs and focusing on positive outcomes. Our dedicated team works closely with people supported, families, and healthcare professionals to provide the best possible support, empowering people to live as independently as possible while engaging in meaningful activities that enrich their lives.

The home is fully equipped to welcome individuals of all genders, ensuring tailored support that meets diverse needs.

Irchester is a spacious six-bedroom home located in the peaceful village of Irchester, Northampton. The property features bright communal areas, including a kitchen, lounge, and garden, creating a welcoming and homely environment.

Conveniently situated near Rushden and Wellingborough, the home benefits from excellent transport links and easy access to local amenities such as shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Irchester 170 offers exceptional outdoor space, with a large garden and a spacious front entrance, providing plenty of room for relaxation and activities. Set back from the road, the home enjoys scenic views over the surrounding fields, adding to its tranquil atmosphere.

The home features a bright and airy conservatory, often used for activities, arts and crafts, and as a peaceful chill-out space. Additionally, a dedicated garden room is currently being refurbished to include a cinema room and a newly improved sensory space, enhancing the home’s recreational and therapeutic offerings.

Lifestyle

People supported at Irchester lead active and fulfilling lives, both within the home and in the local community. People supported take part in a variety of leisure activities designed to enhance social and communication skills while promoting independence.

At Irchester 170, activities are tailored to each individual’s needs and interests. People supported enjoy visits to local gyms, swimming pools, bowling alleys, restaurants, and garden centers. They also take part in our farm project, where they help care for animals, including feeding and walking them.

Developing essential life skills is a key focus, with residents supported in tasks such as cooking, laundry, and vacuuming to promote greater independence. They also engage with the wider community through events like local galas, ICP park walks, and SEN discos, helping to build confidence and connection with others.
